A delegation from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited EHU to discuss the university’s development and student support
On September 15, a delegation from the Department of Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and a minister from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius visited the European Humanities University.
The parties discussed the current situation at EHU, the development of student services, admissions, and the University’s individualized approach to supporting applicants and students.
Particular attention was paid to the quality of education and preparing graduates for the European and global labor markets. EHU faculty shared their experience of working with motivated and ambitious students, while Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas spoke about the development of academic programs and practice-oriented learning in an international environment. The delegation expressed its support for the University and its academic community and commended EHU’s efforts to strengthen its institutional role.
Another topic was the integration of international students into Lithuanian society. To support their adaptation and integration, a Lithuanian language course has been introduced into the curriculum as a mandatory component for first-year students, helping them interact more confidently with the local community and make better use of educational and professional opportunities in Lithuania.
The parties also discussed EHU’s further internationalization, including the development of English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programs and the expansion of access to education for students from different countries.
