EHU Rector Vilius Šadauskas on the New Academic Year, Current Challenges and the University’s Future
Dr Vilius Šadauskas, Rector of the European Humanities University, was a guest on “Nauja diena”, a programme broadcast by “Lietuvos ryto televizij”.
During the interview, the Rector discussed EHU’s preparations for the new academic year, the results of the admissions campaign and the University’s increasingly international student community. He also addressed the challenges faced by EHU students and faculty as a result of the Belarusian regime’s actions towards the University.
Another key topic was EHU’s future and institutional identity. Vilius Šadauskas highlighted the importance of further integration into Lithuania’s higher education landscape, strengthening the University’s international academic community and maintaining EHU’s broader mission in the region.
“My responsibility is to the student to understand what students need today in order to become fully participating members of society,” the Rector noted.
