Dr. Manal Abed is an Assistant Professor in Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of Al-Quds University and serves as Dean Assistant of the Faculty of Law. Her academic and professional interests include civil and comparative law, human rights.
During her visit to EHU, Dr. Manal Abed delivered lectures for students of the Law programme on comparative law, the Palestinian legal system, and contract law. The visit also included an open guest lecture titled “Economic Duress and Vitiated Consent: Labor Rights at the Intersection of Gender, Law, and Structural Inequality”, which addressed labour rights, consent, gender, law, and structural inequality.
Dr. Manal Abed also took part in meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening academic cooperation with the EHU Law programme, the Academic Department of Social Sciences, and the Student Service and International Mobility Unit.
The meetings focused on further cooperation between the two universities, including opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, participation in academic conferences, and potential collaboration in the fields of law, gender studies, and human rights.
The visit became an important step in strengthening the partnership between EHU and Al-Quds University and opened new opportunities for academic exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, and future international projects.
