EHU Hosted Erasmus+ Lecturer from the University of Warsaw

On April 20–24, 2026, the European Humanities University welcomed Erasmus+ lecturer Katarzyna Drozd-Urbańska, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw.

The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between EHU and the University of Warsaw, as well as to expand opportunities for student and staff mobility.

During her stay at EHU, Katarzyna Drozd-Urbańska delivered lectures dedicated to the works of Belarusian Nobel Prize laureate Svetlana Alexievich. The teaching programme included sessions on Svetlana Alexievich – reports that won the Nobel Prize in Literature and Demythologizing World War II and the War in Afghanistan based on the reportages of Svetlana Alexievich, offering students critical perspectives on literature, memory, and historical narratives.

The visit also included a broader academic exchange focused on strengthening institutional cooperation. Discussions covered courses offered by the Institute of Belarusian Studies and opportunities for student participation in the Erasmus+ programme. The colleagues explored possibilities for organising joint international academic conferences and future collaborative projects, including the potential publication of a joint monograph.

Particular attention was paid to exchanging experiences related to study programme structures, teaching methods, educational technologies, and approaches to student support. The visit also provided an opportunity to familiarize the guest lecturer with EHU’s academic environment, resources, and student life, contributing to the development of closer cooperation between the institutions.

Such Erasmus+ academic exchanges continue to play an important role in strengthening international partnerships and creating new opportunities for students and staff.
