The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility programme and was dedicated to the topic “The Border of Cultures: Belarus between East and West.”
During his stay, Professor Grzybowski delivered a series of lectures for EHU students, covering the following topics:
-
The language situation in Belarus in the 20th century
-
National and state symbols of Belarus
-
The Belarusian diaspora in the West: history and modernity
-
Belarusians in Poland: yesterday and today
The mobility contributed to strengthening academic cooperation between the European Humanities University and the University of Warsaw, in particular with the Institute for Intercultural Studies of Central and Eastern Europe and the Faculty of Applied Linguistics.
The Erasmus+ exchange created new opportunities for research collaboration, academic networking, and potential future exchange schemes between the institutions.
During his visit, Professor Grzybowski familiarized himself with EHU’s educational programmes, teaching methods, and the organization of academic work. For EHU students, his lectures offered an opportunity to deepen their understanding of lesser-known episodes in the history of Belarus in the 20th century and to explore the cultural connections between Eastern and Western Europe.
