Meeting with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Strengthening EHU’s Role in Lithuania’s Academic Landscape

On October 17th, 2025, the European Humanities University hosted a constructive meeting with Vice-Minister for Education, Science and Sport Dr. Regina Valutytė, Head of the Study Quality Unit Ms. Giedrė Pačėsienė, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Ms. Aistė Bertulytė-Žikevičienė and Ms. Virginija Umbrasienė.

This was the first official meeting with the newly appointed Vice-Minister, marking a new stage of dialogue between EHU and Lithuanian national institutions. During the discussion, EHU Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas presented the university’s ongoing transformation, academic reforms, and achievements in the areas of institutional modernization, student enrollment, program renewal, and public image strengthening.

Particular attention was given to EHU’s integration within the Lithuanian higher education landscape, including the development of the new campus in Vilnius, strategic partnerships, and the university’s growing regional visibility. The participants discussed future perspectives for EHU’s development, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the university and Lithuanian authorities in ensuring stability, sustainability, and continued excellence in education.

Both ministries expressed their interest and support for EHU’s progress over recent years, recognizing the university’s contribution to promoting democratic values, academic freedom, and innovation in the region. The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening EHU’s position as an integral part of Lithuania’s academic and economic environment.
