Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and European Humanities University Discuss Future Cooperation
President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Academician Vytautas Nekrošius, met with the Rector of European Humanities University (EHU), Dr Vilius Šadauskas, to discuss the university’s development, future prospects, and potential areas of cooperation between the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and EHU. During the meeting, both leaders emphasized EHU’s strong potential to serve as an institution promoting humanistic ideas and democratic values through education, particularly in the regions east of the European Union.
According to Academician Nekrošius and Dr Šadauskas, the ongoing changes in this region may rapidly increase the need for professionals who think and work in a democratic spirit. EHU, with its academic experience and mission, is well positioned to respond comprehensively to this need. The discussion highlighted opportunities for closer cooperation between the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and European Humanities University in advancing education, research, and the dissemination of democratic values.
