Game Industry Veteran Rob Hewson to Give a Guest Lecture at EHU

European Humanities University (EHU), in partnership with the Lithuanian Game Developers Association (LGDA), is pleased to welcome Rob Hewson, veteran game developer, Game Director and CEO & Creative Director of Huey Games, for a special guest lecture taking place at EHU.

With more than 21 years of experience in game development, Rob has worked in Game Director, Lead Design and Project Management roles on titles including LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, LEGO Jurassic World, LEGO Batman 3, LEGO The Lord of the Rings, LEGO The Hobbit, and many others.

For the past ten years, Rob has been leading his own studio, Huey Games, working across porting, co-development, design consulting and other game development services. The studio has collaborated with companies including Konami and Devolver Digital and contributed to indie projects such as Inscryption, Outbound and Vampire Crawlers.

During his lecture at EHU, Rob will share stories and lessons from more than two decades inside the games industry from working on major LEGO titles and projects for Xbox to building and sustaining an independent game studio.

The conversation will explore what game development looks like behind the scenes, how creative and design decisions are made, and what it takes for an indie studio to survive and grow in a highly competitive industry.

Rob Hewson is also a BAFTA member, columnist, conference speaker and mentor.

The event is open not only to EHU students but to everyone interested in game development, game design, LEGO games and the creative side of the gaming industry.
