Priority will be given to teaching mobility and applicants working at EHU under employment contracts.
Application deadline: 15 December 2026.
Who can apply?
The call is open to EHU teachers and staff members.
Applicants working under employment contracts will be given priority. If funding remains available, applications from individuals working at EHU under other types of contracts may also be considered, provided that they:
- have been affiliated with EHU for at least one year;
- in the case of teaching staff, teach at EHU in both the autumn and spring semesters;
- do not work at another university in the European Union.
These applicants must undertake the mobility on behalf of EHU and represent the University during their visit. Their applications will also be assessed based on the expected benefit to the EHU academic community and contribution to the University’s international cooperation.
What types of mobility are available?
Teaching mobility
Teaching mobility provides an opportunity to teach at an EHU partner university.
Applicants must have:
- an invitation from the receiving university;
- a valid Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement between EHU and the receiving university covering the planned teaching mobility.
Please consult the list of EHU partner universities.
Training mobility
Training mobility provides an opportunity for professional development at a receiving organisation.
Applicants must have an invitation from the receiving organisation. An Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement is not required.
Duration and timing
The visit must include at least 2 days of teaching or training activities, excluding travel days. The total duration, including travel, must not exceed 6 days.
All mobilities must take place within the project eligibility period. All required post-mobility documents must be submitted by the end of July 2027. Please confirm your proposed mobility dates with the International Mobility Manager before making arrangements.
How to apply
Send the following documents to international@ehu.lt by 15 December 2026:
- a completed academic mobility application form;
- an invitation letter from the receiving organisation. No specific template is required for the invitation.
Teachers planning to undertake mobility before the application deadline may submit their documents earlier. If they already have an invitation and an application signed by their manager, the committee may consider their application individually before the main selection.
How are applications selected?
The selection committee makes the final decision on Erasmus+ funding, taking into account:
- priority for teaching mobility;
- priority for applicants working at EHU under employment contracts;
- the content and quality of the application;
- compliance with the eligibility and selection criteria;
- the expected benefit to EHU, where applicable;
- the available project budget.
Funding is subject to the availability of project funds.
