The Master’s program “LLM in International Business and Trade Law” aims to prepare highly qualified legal professionals equipped to succeed in the global legal environment.

Successful completion of the program allows graduates to work in Lithuania and the European Union*.

Holders of LL.M. diploma will be able to tackle the challenges of an interconnected world economy by gaining applied expertise to navigate complex transnational transactions, pivotal in today’s legal and business environments.

Program designed for busy professionals with individual flexible study plans, such as online modules, evening classes and continuous support from our academic advisors.

The curriculum includes core courses such as Company Law and Corporate Governance, International Commercial Arbitration, International Intellectual Property Law, International Financial Law, and International Commercial Contracts, among others.

Enabling graduates to effectively operate within international companies, law firms, governmental structures, and NGOs, addressing complex global legal challenges.

  • International lawyers — providing consultancy on international contracts, arbitration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Corporate lawyers or corporate governance consultants — working within legal departments of international companies or specialized legal practices.
  • International trade specialists — advising and working within global trading companies, financial institutions, and government agencies on commercial and investment law matters.
  • Specialists in intellectual property and financial law — managing financial transactions and intellectual property portfolios within international law firms and corporations.
  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR) experts — developing strategies and projects aimed at promoting corporate responsibility and sustainable business practices.
  • Academic Career — opportunity to pursue doctoral studies (PhD) in law, conducting research in international legal fields at leading universities.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the LLM in International Business and Trade Law program is conducted without entrance exams, based on a motivational interview and proof of English proficiency (B2 level or higher).

Candidates must also meet at least one of the following academic criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in other fields, supplemented by university-level legal education (minimum of 60 ECTS credits);
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in other fields with at least three years of professional legal experience (plus supplementary legal education of at least 15 ECTS credits);
  • Higher education degree in Law with additional coursework in legal disciplines (minimum of 60 ECTS credits).

Candidates’ professional legal experience is evaluated according to internal university rules. Applicants without relevant formal education may be required to undertake additional training according to an individual plan.
