New Book Release: QUO VADIS UNIVERSITAS? QUO VADIS EHU? The Epic of One University in an Era of Crumbling Rationality
The European Humanities University (EHU) is pleased to announce the publication of a new volume — Quo vadis universitas? Quo vadis EHU? The Epic of One University in an Era of Crumbling Rationality.
More than a history of one institution, the book offers a deep reflection on the role of the university in a world facing a crisis of rationality. It addresses fundamental questions about the purpose and mission of higher education, the fate of the humanities, and the challenges faced by universities in the contemporary global context.
The volume is divided into three parts.
The first presents messages from international supporters and friends of EHU who have accompanied the university throughout its journey.
The second explores the mission of the university and the significance of the humanities through contributions by renowned thinkers including John Sallis, Anatoli Mikhailov, Jeremy Adelman, Jeffrey Barash, Vittorio Hösle, and others.
The third part looks ahead, focusing on EHU’s role and future direction, and reflecting on how universities can respond to the erosion of rationality and meaning in modern society.
By addressing the global challenges to education and humanistic thought, the monograph poses a timely and universal question: Quo vadis, university?
