The event is part of the “National Culture Days at EHU” initiative launched by EHU Rector Dr. Vilius Šadauskas. The initiative aims to strengthen dialogue between the university community and diplomatic and cultural institutions operating in Lithuania, while introducing students to different countries’ cultures, academic traditions, and opportunities.
The theme of the event is “Sweden beyond IKEA and Karlsson: get to know the neighbours on the other side of the Baltic Sea.” Participants are invited to discover Sweden beyond common stereotypes and to learn more about its culture, academic environment, and student life.
During an informal meeting with representatives of the Embassy of Sweden, participants will have the opportunity to discuss life and study opportunities in Sweden. The event will also feature a traditional Swedish fika — a cosy social coffee break that is an important part of Swedish culture.
