The initiative, starting in 2026, invites foreign embassies to become an active part of university life. Each participating country will have dedicated time within EHU spaces to host lectures, creative workshops, exhibitions, and discussions with diplomats and cultural figures.
“Our goal is to create a vibrant, interactive platform where theoretical knowledge meets cultural experience. EHU has always been a place of openness and international dialogue; this series will allow our students to better understand global diversity and strengthen ties with the international community,” states the Rector of EHU.
Key Project Objectives:
- Cultural Awareness: To introduce students to the traditions and cultures of different countries.
- European Integration and Cooperation: To foster a deeper understanding of European Union values, international law, and democratic processes. Discussions with diplomats will analyze successful integration examples, scientific achievements, and perspectives on the common future of Europe.
- Networking: To provide students with the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The first events are planned for the upcoming semester, in cooperation with the embassies of France, Belgium, Sweden, and other countries that have already expressed support for this initiative. The university hopes that “National Culture Days” will become a long-standing tradition, strengthening EHU’s reputation as a multicultural academic hub.
More information about upcoming events and the exact program will be published on the official EHU website and social media channels.
